It is with a heavy heart that the committee must inform our valued tenants of the resignation of Darren Lea from his position as Chairperson, effective immediately. This news brings a sense of sadness, as Darren has dedicated so much of himself to our society, driven by genuine passion and unwavering commitment. His tireless efforts have helped shape the society into what it is today, and we are deeply grateful for his leadership and vision.
On behalf of the entire committee, I want to sincerely thank Darren for all he has contributed. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors, trusting that he will continue to achieve great things. Please know that his legacy will remain a guiding light for us all, and we are committed to carrying forward the work he started.
Over the past 18 months, our society has faced many challenges and significant changes. During some of our most difficult times, we reached out to our tenants for support, including holding a special meeting to ensure everyone’s voice was heard. Your resilience and support have been truly inspiring.
Moving forward, the committee will continue to serve and represent all tenants with dedication and care. The Vice Chair will step in to perform the duties of the Chair, ensuring that our society remains steady and focused. We plan to come together at the next AGM to appoint a new Chair, which we believe will provide the best path for stability and continued progress.
